Mushroom Breakfast

Food - September 28, 2014

What you need:
– Portobello Mushrooms (Find the bigger sized one. 2 mushrooms should be good for one serving)
– Choice of cheese : Cheddar / Mozzarella
– Unsalted Butter
– Olive Oil
– Choice of protein: Salmon / Bacon / Ham
– Pesto (Optional)

– Salt & Pepper

1) Preheat your oven at about 180 Degrees Celcius
2) Clean & wash mushrooms, remove center stem
3) Place mushrooms on a baking sheet on the tray and drizzle olive oil over them.
4) Spoon a dollop of butter into the center of the mushroom cap
5) Salt and pepper for seasoning. (don’t be stingy with this)
6) Top the mushroom cap with cheddar , pesto and choice of salmon.
7) Pinch of pepper and salt again

8) Bake for 7-9 mins.

Mushrooms should come out moist and brown. The juice from the mushroom will come out when you cut into it. It’s super good. This makes a good healthy dinner side dish to any steak / chops.
Yay to healthy breakfast!
