Gloucester (1) – Moor Farm

Travel - September 22, 2015

Headed over to Westfield in the morning to collect our rented car. They upgraded our car to an Audi A4 which was a pleasant surprise and the car’s pretty comfortable! Entered our destination into the GPS and off we go! Of course, snacks are absolutely necessary in every road trip. And may i recommend the Marks and Spencer Flapjacks. It’s buttery goodness packed with a punch of maple syrup and oat bits. SO GOOD.

It took us awhile to find the place, it’s a farm hidden away in some small lane. So when we found the place, i was pretty excited to jump out of the car already.

Camping in style, glamping.

The owner led us to the glamping tents and handed over the necessary stuff like candles, washing liquid, sponge and matches. Since the place is out in the wilderness, there was no electricity, so our light in the night was dependant on candles and the oil lamps.

After entering the tent, we were greeted by a rustic scene and i heard my heart squeal for abit. IT WAS SO GORGEOUS, it looked like a photo you would see on pinterest, for real. So of course i was damn excited and i started snapping photos. I was surprised at how spacious the tent was. Other than the kitchen/dining area, it came with 2 rooms, a mini toilet, and a cupboard bed.

After settling down and chilling for a bit, we drove out to get some groceries from the nearby supermarket and came back to cook ourselves dinner! It was the first time using a wood burning stove to cook, and i realised how tough it was to actually start a fire and get it to burn. Interesting experience though.

By the time we were done with dinner and cleaning up, it was almost nightfall already, so we scurried to go take a shower before the sky goes dark and there would be no more light. That’s the end of our first day!

If anyone’s interested, here’s the details of the farm!
