Glamping Getaway

London, Travel - April 21, 2016

A short quick one day getaway glamping outside of London. London is too fast paced, and it could get pretty stressful sometimes. D planned a really quick glamping trip for us (Fandy, Mich and myself). He found this cute little place that’s nestled near Buckinghamshire. We rented a car and set off in afternoon, arriving at the farm slightly before evening as we made a couple of stops to use the restroom / have lunch.

The check in process was really straightforward. The owner had the keys and instructions all readily prepared for us, making it really fuss free. The only pity was that the weather the next day we woke up was pretty cold and rainy. So I’d recommend you checking up the weather forecast before renting the place.

Was rather pleased with how the wigwams looked both on the outside and on the inside! Not to mention, I thought that it was really well maintained and clean on the whole. There’s a little pantry / mini kitchen on the side, along with a television and an en-suite bathroom! It was really well-equipped, and they have everything you would need if you wanna cook yourself a meal.

We rented the wigwam with an additional hire of the fire pit and bedding (Sheets are not provided if you do not request for it). We had ourselves a good hearty barbecue right in front of our wigwam after taking a short drive out and getting our groceries done in Morrisons. The boys had a hard time getting the fire started as it was pretty windy and we didn’t have a lot of charcoal. In the end, we made of use of the stove inside the wigwam to cook our chicken as there wasn’t enough space on the pit. ?

Overall, I thought it was a really good experience! Of course, the company you go with plays a very important part. The Wigwam sleeps 4 people comfortably, any more than that, you can consider renting both of them and have your own private barbecue party in the backyard!
